Brief Review The Company of Women - novel by Khushwant Singh The novel is about Mohan, the protagonist’s romantic and exciting adventure for a woman who makes him happy and wants a woman for his unquenchable thirst for lust. Mohan was a sex maniac. He married Sonu because she was beddable enough. To him sex was the more pressing need than love or companionship. The matter of sex is a paramount He states “love is an elusive concept.” So we regard him as a lustful man without any emotions. His relationships were not meant to be enduring; there were no strings attached. This was very clear to us when Sarojini liked to take over the household; he ignored her and she was put in her place. In this episode, he was a little bit emotional and wanted her to be with him for at least three months until college reopened.
